The Seed Stack pieces are made from a variety of clays.  Each seed is an individual that is formed, either on the potters wheel, or by hand.  I fire from cone 04 to cone 6 using terra sigillatta and stain for the surface colors.  The seeds set in a base, made from black clay, giving them an environment to exsist in.  They set in a bed of crushed coal, and are stacked to encourage removal, repositioning, and exploration.
